Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive adorable characters. Adams was lived in Castle Rock Colorado, as one of the seven kids who was her smallest. Her father was serving in U.S. service in Italy. At the end of the 1990s, she started performing professionally and dancing at Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to Minnesota where she was scouted for Drop Dead Gorgeous, a documentary mock film that focused on beauty contests. Following her successful screen debut, in which she played an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet moved to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. Also, she raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in mid- 1940s, after she was signed by MGM. She had been discovered by Norma Shearer. She starred as Norma in various popular films over time, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which was released in 1960 as well as Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film released in 1954.
