Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career as an actress in the 1980s. The actress became popular for the film Tezaab starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. Her next film was the film Dil In which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dancing at a young age. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled for a few years as many of her early films were flops. The actress gained fame and was one of India's leading film actresses. She took a break from her profession after her wedding before returning to the entertainment industry. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times in the Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India awarded to Dixit. Her work in the field of social service is well-known.
